As an apprentice at Autoplace you will receive training in the following areas and more:
Domestic and Imports, all years, makes, and models.
Hands on Training in all areas including, alignment, AC , and electrical diagnostic.
Instruction in working with state of the art equipment with emphasis on diagnostic training.
Personal Journeyman supervision and guidance, teaching you tips and tricks to allow you to become productive with your time so that when you graduate you can be a leader and a top income earner.

You must have some previous relevant work experience and be currently enrolled in a Canadian Automotive Apprenticeship learning program.
You must have a valid class 5 drivers licence, be in good health and able to lift heavy parts and components.
Candidates should have a basic toolbox with hand tools, be punctual, and able to follow instructions and take direction.
Work references to be provided prior to hiring.

Salary: $22.00-$34.00 per hour depending on level of apprenticeship training

The work environment is a well-established 7 Bay automotive repair shop that has been family owned and operated in the same location since 1978. We service domestic, and import models, and provide a wide variety of services that allows for personal and professional development in the repair trade. Other companies within our group include retail sales and entertainment.
Flexible work schedules are available that can be designed to fit your life. We utilize a noncommission-based salary so you can focus on the quality of the repair. Our goal is to assist our clients with vehicle care and maintenance, diagnose customer concerns, and to perform repairs in an efficient and cost-effective manner to get our customers back on the road.
Ideally, you would hold a Red Seal Certificate, have BC Inspectors Designation, and a "Fix it right the first time" attitude. Alternately, an apprentice third or fourth level. Diagnostic and problems solving abilities, with a passion for helping customers is required. Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure with simultaneous deadlines. Must be able to work on all makes and models and perform and record all duties as outlined on repair orders. Drive manual and automatic transmission vehicles. Maintain and keep shop equipment operating and in proper condition. Competency in internet, computerized diagnostic and repair equipment and shop software. Electric vehicle repair upgrades available for Journeyman (woman) candidates. Additional upgrade and training modules available. Once established, benefits can be tailored to meet individual needs.
Class 5 license with clean driving abstract required. Wages dependant on experience and training level with Journeyman (woman) starting wages of up to $38-42/HR
